Adaptations to physical factors.

Plants and animals must adapt to climate conditions and to live in competitive community for survival:
Tropical rainforest plant adaptations.
Tall trees have broad leaves to intercept great amount of light to the formation of woody tissue and feed all the plants.
Drip tips and waxy surfaces allow water to run off  after rain.
Some plants climb or grow on others to reach the sunlight.
Smooth stems and waxy flowers deed the run off of water.

Desert plants adaptations.
Some plants ;called succulents, store water in their stems or leaves as thorns.
Long roots systems spread out wide or go deep into the ground to absorb water.
Some plants produce strong seeds.
Waxy coating on stems  and leaves reduce water loss.
Desert plants grow separate so they do not compete for scarce water.
