USA and the Vietnam war

The USA was the principal country that want to stop the Communism to be expanded. This had started in the nineteenth century when Vietnam had been ruled by France, the rebellion come in 1930 the French lost the control of Vietnam. So, the Japanese take the control. During the war, an anti-Japanese resistance movement emerge under the leadership of Ho Chi Minh that was Communist, the “The Viet Minh”. The Viet Minh control the North of Vietnam and in 1945 the independence of Vietnam was declared.

So, the French come back to take control again of Vietnam. In 1946 France broke in war with The Viet Minh. But in 1949 China became Communist and give support to Ho Chi Minh. The USA must react so they support France in trying to set up a non-communist government in South Korea. The Guerrilla tactics were very difficult to beat.

In 1954 the country of Vietnam was divided in North and South. USA had to prevent the elections in Vietnam since the Communists would win, the USSR and China were planning that, in addition if this happens all the countries of Asia would become Communist too.

Additionally, to prevent this USA support Ngo Dinh Diem to set up the Republic in South Vietnam. The regime of him was very corrupt, he used to put his family or supporters for the positions of power and he refuse to hold elections.

At that moment, The Viet Cong start to use the method of guerrilla against the South Vietnamese Government using the Ho Chi Minh trail.

By 1962 Kennedy send some troops to fight against The Viet Cong and the tension increase. In 1963 Kennedy was killed and Lyndon Johnson succeeded him. And in 1965 USA was at war in Vietnam.

Although USA had superior technology and more soldiers and weapons, was a very difficult war due to the Guerrilla techniques, they use to appear in the middle of the jungle and attack. It was very difficult to identify them, they did not use uniform and USA soldiers did not distinguish them with the peasants that were there. So that is why it was very difficult for USA to fight with them.

Nowadays USA that it is the most famous and powerful country of the world have to fight no wit the communist if not with the terrorism that is a legacy of the communist. This people use to kill innocent people without caring their lives. They say that it is better to live with their god than in the real word with their relatives. This people use to be educated like this since there were born.

The recent case of terrorism was caused in the concert of Ariana Grande in Manchester the 24 of May of 2017. The man activated a bomb and killed 22 people and 59 had wounded, some of them kids. This happened at the end of the concert, the police could identify that the Terrorist Was called Salman Abedi, a man of 22 years and that this man could not be alone. Ariana Grande had make a tribute to the people that had death in the concert of Argentina the 5 of July of 2017.

What I can notice about these two cases is that USA is the one that try to stop the people that try to “destroy the world”. Is the one that take charge of the principal enemies of the world. This happened because of the manner of thinking of that people that cause a bad effect to the humanity. The same happened when the Communist appear in the Cold War they use to think different things than the capitalist and democratic.

Nowadays the Communist continued in alive in Cuba since 1959. It has survived more than 50 years of USA sanctions intended to topple veteran leader Fidel Castro, the communist leader.

Collapsing of Soviet Union

In 1985 a new leader of the Soviet Union appears, this person was called Mikhail Gorbachev, who study law in Moscow. When he became the leader of the USSR he changes the policies of to his own policies, but this change did not help, so how far was Gorbachev personally respond for the collapse of control of the eastern Europe?

When Gorbachev became leader of the USSR, they were in war against Afghanistan so the money was very low, also the alcoholism was improving in a increasingly way, it became an epidemic with a lot of deaths. When he enter into to the dictatorship his policies were different in a good way, he planned a programme of reforms to let the soviet union to recover. He had to key ideas that were Glasnost (frankness) and Perestroika (restructuring). He did this to open a debate on government policy and to tell everyone about the problems. In 1987, his Perestroika programme allowed market forces to be part of the soviet economy. With the weak economy and the arm race, Gorbachev realize that they had to finish using money there because they will never be better than the USA on nuclear weapons, he signed a treaty with the USA to take out most of their missiles from Europe. With this desitions of Gorvachev we realise that he is leaving aside all the ideas of the soviet power that were based on, also with the poverty and the confusion with the new way of thinking, these gives a clue for the people of eastern Europe that the USSR would not dominate their lives for much longer.

In 1989 the communist regimes of Eastern Europe fell one by one because it was not supported by the soviet military power. It starts in May, Hungary opened its border to non-communist Austria, the Iron curtain was discovered. In June when Poland free elections were held, solidarity won the elections and Eastern Europe gets its first non-communist leader, Lech Walesa. In October Gorbachev went to East Germany where he said to the leader, Erich Honecker, to make a change but the troops refuse. In November the Germans of the east finally pulled down the Berlin wall. Later in November the Czech government had srikes and opens its borders with the west, also let the creation of other party. In December the revolution of Romania was finishing, they take out the dictator Nicolae Ceausescu, it was declared that in Hungary the free elections will be in 1900 and in Bulgaria are big srikes against the communist government. In the year 1990 in March Latvia, a small country very near to the Soviet Union, declared their independence (from the USSR). One year later, in 1991, Gorbachev resigned.

To conclude, I think that changing the policy to their own policy wasn’t a very good idea because it destroys the Soviet Union. They lost the control of the Eastern Europe because of his fault, but he helps all the countries to get their independence from the USSR, so they had to say thanks to Mikhail Gorbachev due to the fact that he did this.

The water frame and spinning jenny were transformed  in one machine,“mule”, so invented a better  steam  loom.

 Characteristics:

In 1700 with the new machine changed the textile industry

 Spinners and weavers went to work to the factories and left the cottages

 Mills and factories were built.

 Consequences:

 Positive:

As spinners and weavers left their cottages, the urbanization started to grow.

 Instead of producing things by hands they started making them with machines.

 Produced more  cloths in less time.

 Negative:

Workers had bosses.

 They worked a lot of hours.

They received very few money.

Natural Resources

 Causes:

 GB had the natural resources (coal and iron) that industry need.

Characteristics:

 GB had natural harvours

GB had the transportation.

 The  mines were near the seas so ships could carry the coal easily .

  All the major rivers were navigable.

 Consequences:

 Positive:

Coal gave more energy than wood.

Coal produced the energy to the steam machine.

 GB colonies supplied raw goods to the factories in a cheap price.

All colonies exports went to GB and all the colonies  imports came from GB.

 Negative:

 The demand of coal grew ,so the deeper mines were full of water ,so they had to pump the water out of the mines.
